So let's see, what can I say about this show that hasn't been said a million times before? I have to admit that I was very disappointed that there was only one Jazz song in the set. I had hoped for more since it was a Jazz Festival. But we got the quintessential Boz and that's still a very good thing! He still puts on an excellent show and always leaves us wanting more.

Boz was the most casually dressed that I have ever seen him at a concert; he looked like he'd just strolled in from the vineyards. For you fashion mavens, he wore blue jeans, a navy t-shirt and a light-weight navy jacket, wind-breaker style. The rest of the band were all more formally dressed in black. Except for a new trumpet player, Dave Scott I believe is his name, it's the same band as last year's tour. And almost the same set list:

LOWDOWN
JOJO
SLOW DANCER
HARBOR LIGHTS (Jazz Version)
MISS SUN
BREAKDOWN
STREET LIFE (Monet)
HOW LONG HAS THIS BEEN GOING ON?
LOOK WHAT YOU'VE DONE TO ME
GEORGIA
LIDO

Encore:
RUNNIN BLUES
CALL THAT LOVE

It was very busy back stage after the concert but I did get to hang out and have dinner with Paul Nagel (piano) and Eric Crystal (saxes, flute, keyboard). I managed to say hello to Boz and chat for a minute or two. I did ask him how he was able to sound so great or even better on those old songs? His answer: with a wicked twinkle in his eye and a sly chuckle, You take ten months off!
