Set List: The Dukes of September (Donald Fagan, Michael McDonald & Boz Scaggs)
Donald Fagan, Michael McDonald and Boz Scaggs are out on the road this month with their tour as The Dukes of September. Modeled after the New York Rock and Soul Review shows of the early-90's, the three take turns singing a couple of their classics along with a bunch of music from other rock and R&B artists.
While the 90's version skewed more towards R&B, this one has quite a bit of blues and rock from Muddy Waters to the Grateful Dead and a three song mini-set in the middle of the show with each singer taking on a song from the Band. Each offered their own recordings, too, with Fagan doing two from The Nightfly and one Steely Dan, McDonald doing one solo hit and two from the Doobie Brothers era and Scaggs picking hits from the 70's and 80's.
